This mollusc is very common and is found virtually everywhere and it has adapted itself to survivie in urban areas. The gray shell gives them a valuable survival value. This mollusc is rarely seen active. Note that this mollusc is very widespread. It has been possibly introduced with marble and such exports from its homeland Italy, Corsica and Sicily.
